Young Americans

Performance Workshops have been part of the Children’s Programming since 2009 when the Young Americans were invited to do a 3-day workshop, the first of four such workshops over a 9-yr period. The program is designed to give the students (4th thru 12th grade) experience on the stage, an introduction to new music and dance, and an opportunity to develop self-confidence.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Young Americans will not be able to come in 2021.  Instead, MCAC will sponsor Movers, Shakers, and Music Makers, a performance workshop by local teachers Kelly Blackwood and Amy Walworth.  It will be modeled after the Young Americans. Registrations will be accepted beginning in October. The program is limited to 100 students.
